Creativity plays a significant role in design engineering. This research project explores how humans perform in design creativity tasks, such as problem clarification and idea generation, as well as comparing with AI-generated results. In this study, participants have taken part in a qualitative survey, completing 5 tasks in total: 2 problem clarification tasks and 3 idea generation tasks. The survey data will be made open access and used in future research. It will also be made available to other research projects once the investigator team has completed the project. The study will help to better understand the future of work for designers in a fast-changing world. As the survey is fully anonymous, no specific personal information (such as name and contact details) that could be used to identify participants was collected or shared.
