Research Question: What are the appropriate governance approaches for data exchanges? The pandemic has played a major role in identifying problems in complex supply chains. See, for example, the shortage of chips in the car industry. A recent editorial by Choi (2022) has pointed out the need for supply chains to be mapped in order to enhance resilience. Once an organisation has developed such a map then they also need to establish the data sharing agreement amongst the various parties. That agreement enables tier 1 or OEMs to begin to identify areas at risk in supply. We have undertaken multiple interviews with supply chain partners to develop a framework for data sharing across multiple partners. We have plans to test the framework and identify challenges and opportunities in a series of workshops early in the New Year.
