The University of Exeter’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded Digital Economy Next Stage Centre, DIGIT Lab, is delighted to announce a new partnership with Royal Holloway, University of London.
DIGIT Lab is a 5 year funded research programme with almost £12 million investment from industry, EPSRC and academic partners. DIGIT Lab works with large established organisations to reimagine them for the digital age – in ways that go beyond merely digitising current products and practices to address core transformation challenges.
Royal Holloway, University of London, is one of the UK’s top 25 universities for research quality (TheCompleteUniversityGuide.co.uk), and is home to a range of internationally-acclaimed research and teaching departments. Royal Holloway joins DIGIT Lab’s other academic partners; University of Exeter, University of East Anglia and Oxford Brookes University.
Academic Partnership – Further Details
From March 2022, this new collaboration will drive research insights designed to have real world impact on industry, economy and society, addressing the question, can large established organisations use digital transformation to increase productivity and value, while not compromising on employee wellbeing or their social responsibilities.
The partnerships will draw on expertise from Royal Holloway’s Co-Investigator, Dr David Plans. Based in the ambitious and vibrant Psychology Department, delivering world-leading academic research, Dr Plans’ research will focus on building an open-source cross platform telemetric toolkit for measuring organisational wellbeing. This cross disciplinary research with DIGIT Lab’s other researchers will build a live application that measures psychological variables of wellbeing and research the effects of organisational change.
